Mr David Woodroffe is a 2nd year Micro Computer Technology student at the Samuel Jackman Prescod Polytechnic in the Electrical Engineering Division. In 2016 he was selected through an interview process to be nominated for a 2016 CARICOM scholarship and is pursuing studies in Information Technology at the Nova Scotia Community College in Canada. Although it is very cold there, David is doing exceptionally well and is maintaining scores between 86% and 96%. He is proud to represent the SJPP and his country Barbados.
Congratulations to Ms Chantal Hinds, a 2nd year Cosmetology student in the Human Ecology Division who was nominated for and awarded the 2016 Emerging Leaders of the Americas Programme (ELAP) Scholarship. She entered the first term of the Esthetician programme at the Niagara College in September 2016, spent four months there and was very successful in all her courses. She returned to Barbados in December and is currently completing her final semester at the SJPP. We applaud Ms Hinds for her tenacity and the sterling way she represented the institution while in Canada.
